Yeah, Hideyoshi is a sweet guy, for some reason I can’t think too ill of him, but that makes me feel bad knowing the shit that he did, you know? I buy the senile card, but it’s still just so ironic someone who was a vassal of a chilled-out open-minded dude like Nobunaga would go wildin in the end like a loon.
I think Liu Bei would give me nightmares if I met him also wasn’t it the cooks wife or something WHO JUST COOKS THEIR WIFE. WHO’S JUST OKAY WITH EATING SOMEONES WIFE. I don’t understand.
I’ve been doing everything in my power to boost Ran’s western popularity, but it’s up to Koei to give him some good development and screen time to catch the Japanese fanbase eye~ Gracia worked wonders for him, I think! I also think they were ~testing~ Ranmaru in a platonic relationship we may see more Mori’s soon because that reception went very well as far as Koei’s really random pair-ups go. (Whispers sakon and shingen)
The thing is that it may have just been a legend that’s passed as history- by people who supported Shu no less. It was seen as a good sign of Confucian character to put your superiors (i.e., your rulers or your mother/father) over your own family, so Liu Bei was delighted the dude did just that. Similar reason as to why turning Liu Shan into a baby football thing is notable- to the audience who initially read RotTK, it was a sign of good character that Liu Bei valued his vassal far more than his family. It’s just a sad fact that for a lot of history, the general opinion among the higher classed folk in China was that a man was his own person, but his wife and children were mere objects (until the male child came of age, then he was his own person but subordinate to his mom/dad).
And keep fighting the good fight man. The whole relationship with Gracia did seem to work wonders, and I have to wonder why. I guess because it’s unusual in a good way to see a feminine male be such close friends with a female?? I dunno. And Sakon being anywhere near Kai before the Siege of Odawara bugs the Hell out of me like you don’t even know mang, that they still have him as a Takeda just… uggh. The sooner the Tsutui get more representation the better.
